Hey everyone,
I'm Jayesh, and this is the first edition of what I hope will be a meaningful sharing of my journey in the startup world. Whether you're here because we're family or old friends or you stumbled upon this through the vast internet—welcome!
If We Don't Already Know Each Other:
My love affair with computers began when I was 13—gaming, building websites, and tinkering with source code to make games run on my painfully low-end machine.
By necessity, I also became the resident hardware fixer (when you can't afford new parts, you learn to repair what you have!).
This early passion naturally shaped my career path.
For nearly a decade, I've worked as a software engineer across various startups, functioning as something of a Swiss Army Knife – from full-stack development to infrastructure and data engineering, I've done it all.
My experience spans startups at every stage of growth – some I joined before a single line of code was written, helping them navigate all the way to product-market fit.
About 5 years ago, I moved to Germany for work, but it's slowly starting to grow on me. I might even go as far as to say it's a place I wouldn't mind calling home.
Beyond tech, you'll find me passionate about football (the real one, not the American version 😉), swimming, gaming, and meditation.
I'm always up for deep conversations about anything under the sun – from debugging tricky code to contemplating the ultimate meaning of life, the universe, and everything... which we all know equals 42! 😄
Why This Newsletter
I've always been passionate about startups, technology, and the building process. After years of building, consuming content, having conversations, and working on projects, I realized I needed a dedicated space to:
Document my journey - both for myself and anyone who may find value in it
Share what I'm learning - because knowledge compounds when shared
Build in public - there's power in accountability and community feedback
Connect - with like-minded individuals beyond my immediate circle.
